A Note From Mr. Pederson
Greetings students and parents!
I am Mr. Pederson, the new director of bands here at Carlisle. I wanted to make sure that you all had my email so that you can feel free to email me with any questions or concerns you have at any time.
Tonight I have sent home a form with the students to be signed and returned to me by Monday, August 11th. Please read through that so that we can all be on the same page about policies of the Carlisle Band.
Railroad Days Parade is coming up this next weekend and we are in need of some donated goods. I have a sign up sheet in the band room for students to bring in items. We still need 24 packs of gatorade all-stars, hot dog buns, hamburger buns, individual frito bags (25/50 pack), individual bags of assorted chips (25/50 pack). If we could get all these items donated it would make our fundraising be more profitable. If your student could donate, please email me back and let me know what you/they are willing to provide. We are already set on water, so if you could fill one of the other necessities, we would appreciate it.
I am asking that all donated water, gatorade, fritos and chips be brought into rehearsal on Monday night. Please wait to bring in hot dog and hamburger buns to avoid mold/stale issues.
I am very excited to begin this year off with the students and meeting every one of you. I hope to see many of you at the Railroad Days Parade next weekend!

THE JULY POLL RESULTS ARE IN......
BY AN OVERWHELMING 177 VOTES IT HAS BEEN DECIDED THAT Mr. C WILL ALWAYS HAVE A HOME IN CARLISLE
SINCE THE BAND CAMP POLL WAS CUT SHORT IT HAS BEEN REINSTATED AND SLIGHTLY MODIFIED

We have a Director!
The daunting task of filling the vacancy has been completed.
We needed the position filled quickly and had several applicants to review.
The Administration worked hard and welcomed input from the faculty, band staff, boosters, and even the students were represented.
The candidate had to meet the needs of the Carlisle School system as well as the immediate need of the CHS Marching Indians.
Congratulations to OUR new Director!

His qualifications for the position include:
- Bachelor of Music degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
- Recently served as Assistant Director in the Parma City School District.
- Mr. Pederson has worked within the CHS Band program in the past.
- The kids know and like him.
